On the last full day of our trip, we headed out from Tauranga (in the Bay of Plenty region of the North Island in New Zealand) to the movie set where Peter Jackson thought best represented where the Hobbits lived in Middle-earth as described by Tolkien. If you’re into this sort of stuff, it’s just surreal how they have kept it all so…..real. Off to Aukland tonight, and then tomorrow night back to the U.S..
